Weekend Hike with Madi!

What a beautiful weekend, and even better that I got to hang out and go for a hike with my favorite tiny human...Madi! I WOOF her! Madi is deaf so when she's over Mom talks to her using her human paws. Mom has taught me some sign language too so whenever Madi's over she wants to constantly sign to me 'sit' or 'stay' or 'down' or 'spin' among other things and she does it over and over again. The kid never gets tired! :) It's very cute, and hey, I will perform all day as long as I am getting treats! :) Next time she comes over we get to go to the pumpkin patch...I can't wait!

Welcome

Last weekend, my Mom went to the Farmer's Market and brought a picture of me. Once there, she gave my picture to a local artist who painted this welcome sign for us! Mom and my little buddy, Madi, went to pick it up yesterday and then they brought it home to show me. It is now hanging up by our front door. So, what do you think...does it look like me???

This Will Knock your Socks Off!

Check out these dog socks...they are so doggone cool I can't stop waggin' my tail! My Mom has the Rhodesian Ridgeback ones but you can get just about any breed you desire. :) My Nanny got them for my Mom a while back, and I think she got them from a vendor at Pike Place Market in Seattle or maybe it was at a craft show...I'm not sure. Anyway, Mom and I did some sniffin' around and found doggoneglamorous.com...they have these cool socks that you can order online. So, go ahead...show your love and pride for your favorite dog by wearing some barkariffic socks! I promise people won't laugh at you...at least not too many! ;) Who cares if they do...at least your feet will be nice and toasty and every time you look at your socks you will be reminded of your best friend! :)

BOL!!! We had a great time playing Saturday, and even though we may look vicious it is part of the fun and games. Ahhhh, can't wait until I get to see my dogs again!

Puppy & Human Play Date

Today I got to go to my friend Gracie's house for a play date!!! We ran and ran for an hour in circles mostly and as fast as our four legs would carry us. It had been awhile since we had seen each other so we were a little excited! Also, Gracie's human sisters were there as well. When we got there Gracie's Mom told my Mom that when Karis (the cutie in the pictures up there) heard we were having a puppy play date she asked if she and Amber (my Mom) got to have a human play date. Is that sweet or what! :) So, the puppies and the humans all played outside and had a great time!

Finally....

summer weather is here! Warm, sunny days and best of all...NO WIND!!! Ahhh, if it would only last for a couple more months. It's been impossible to work on my tan this year. ;) BOL!!

The family I have never met

As some of you know, my Mom is from WV and that is where she went when she left me for a week at the end of August. She went to visit her family...she tells me they are my family too but I have never met them. Maybe one day we can make a cross country road trip to see them!? Mom told me that the people in the pictures above are my grandma Ollie and grandpa Johnny, my uncle Nick, Uncle Aaron and cousin Elton (that's right I have a cousin who's a cat...YIKES!), and my cousin Kayla. They look like they would be fun to play with. :)


This is Ivory...she's a Pit Bull that Mom says is very sweet and playful. She's my cousin too, I think. ? She was apparently playing with a frog one night and Mom took her picture. I have never seen a frog so I don't know if I would like to play with one or not. It looks a little scary to me.

And finally, here is a close-up of my cousin, Elton. I am just not sure about having a cat in my family but it might be ok. I hope that one day I do get to meet him but Mom says he can be a bit temperamental. He will just swat at you with his claws for no good reason..ok, that's only sometimes and only with my Uncle Nick. He never did that to Mom but I don't think I would get too close at first. He sure is cute though.

Mom's Home!

Well, Mom's finally home, and I am not letting her out of my sight! When she first arrived, she was exhausted so she took a two hour nap...where was I? Nuzzled up right beside her with my paw over her so she could not escape and leave me for a week anymore! :)


Since Mom has been back she has been super busy with school explaining the no blogging and very little play time for me...RUFF! However, I did get to play with Brix and a few of my other friends this weekend! I hope she gets the hang of this school thing soon because I NEED more play time! ;)
